What SetApp.studio is
SetApp.studio is studio management software for photographers. Clients, shoots, the calendar and the money side live in one place, in Greek or English, in a browser on any device. This page is the plain version, written to be read and quoted rather than to sell.
The problem it was built for
A working photographer's business usually lives in four places at once: the contact list on a phone, a paper diary or a shared calendar, a folder of receipts, and a spreadsheet that nobody updates after a busy weekend.
Nothing is wrong with any one of them. The trouble is that no single one can answer the two questions that matter: what did this wedding actually earn, and who still owes me for last month. SetApp.studio keeps the client, the shoot and the payment in the same record, so those questions have an answer.
What you can do with it
Clients
One record per client: contact details, a category, notes, and every project they have booked attached to it.
Projects
The shoots themselves, each tied to a client and a project type, with their own dates, status and costs.
Calendar
What is booked and when, so a date someone asks you about is either free or it is not.
Financials
Payments coming in and expenses going out, including the expenses that repeat every month.
Payment links
Send a client a card payment link, handled by Stripe. Available on the Basic and Pro plans.
Reports
What the business earned and spent over a period, instead of a per project guess.
On every device
It runs in the browser and installs to a phone's home screen, so the laptop and the phone on the shoot show the same data.
What it costs
- Free: one user, up to 10 projects, calendar and reports. No payment links, and no card asked for.
- Basic, €9.99 a month: two users, up to 200 projects, payment links, email support.
- Pro, €19.99 a month: ten users, up to 1,000 projects, payment links, calendar export, priority support.
Prices are per month in euro. A paid plan can be cancelled at any time and runs to the end of the period you have paid for. The free plan is not a trial and does not expire.
Pricing and plan limitsWorking with other people
A business can hold more than one person. Each member signs in with their own email address and holds a role, owner, admin, member or viewer, and the role decides what they can open and change: a viewer reads, an owner can do everything including billing. How many people you can add is the plan limit above, not a separate seat purchase.
How signing in works
There is no password. You type your email address, the app emails you a one time code, and you type the code back. Nothing to forget, nothing reused from another site, and no password of yours for us to lose.
What SetApp.studio is not
- It is not a gallery or a delivery service. It does not host your photographs for clients to view or download.
- It is not an editing tool. Nothing in it touches a RAW file.
- It is not a website builder. It does not publish a portfolio site for you.
- It is not a general purpose CRM. The vocabulary, the project types and the reports are a photography studio's, not a sales pipeline's.
- It does not move your old client list in for you. There is no file import yet, so an existing list is typed in or left where it is. Getting data out is built in: clients, projects, payments and expenses export to Excel or CSV on any plan.
Who makes it
SetApp.studio is built by Flarmio, a software company with offices in Patra, Greece and London, UK.
It started inside one photographer's own practice. Giannis Floulis, a professional photographer from Trikala, Greece, wanted the admin half of the job to stop eating his evenings. Flarmio's other products are Quickord for restaurants and bars, Roomismo for hotels and short term rentals, and Ridebly for transfers.
Where to read more
Each part of the app has its own page, and the pricing page carries the plan limits in full.
Questions people ask
- Is SetApp.studio free?
- There is a free plan and it is not a trial: one user and up to 10 projects, for as long as you want it, with no card asked for. Payment links are the one thing it leaves out.
- What does it cost if I outgrow the free plan?
- Basic is €9.99 a month for two users and up to 200 projects. Pro is €19.99 a month for ten users, up to 1,000 projects, calendar export and priority support. Both are billed monthly and both can be cancelled at any time.
- Is it available in Greek?
- Yes. The whole interface is in Greek and English, and Greek is the default. The language is a choice on the site, not a separate account.
- Do I need to install anything?
- No. It runs in a browser. On a phone you can add it to the home screen so it opens like an app, but there is nothing to download from an app store.
- Can I bring my existing client list with me?
- Not automatically, not yet. There is no file import, so an existing list has to be typed in or kept where it is. Export works in the other direction: your clients, projects, payments and expenses come out as Excel or CSV at any time, on any plan.
- Can the rest of the studio use the same account?
- Yes, up to the number your plan allows: one person on Free, two on Basic, ten on Pro. Each person signs in with their own email and holds a role, owner, admin, member or viewer, which decides what they can see and change.
- Can I take payments through it?
- You can send a client a card payment link on the Basic and Pro plans. The payment itself runs through Stripe, so card details are entered on Stripe's page and never reach SetApp.studio.
- Who is behind SetApp.studio?
- Flarmio, a software company with offices in Patra, Greece and London, UK, which also builds Quickord, Roomismo and Ridebly. SetApp.studio came from the working practice of photographer Giannis Floulis.
